We've made a replacement charcoal ring and grate for the 22.5" Weber Smokey Mountain Grill. Our 1/2" hole Stainless Steel perf ring and grate will give you better air flow, especially in colder temps. It also provides a higher capacity for charcoal and longer burn time as the charcoal will not fall through as quickly.

22.5" - The standard ring holds 18.6 lbs of charcoal. Our replacement ring holds 37 lbs.

The assembly is completely welded together including the handle, ring, and grate.

Dimensions -
18-7/8" OD grate
18-7/16” OD Basket x 8" Tall

MAY TAKE UP TO 3 WEEKS TO BUILD AND SHIP, during our busy season this time may be extended.

Mr
I've been using an Arborfab basket for almost three years now in my 22.5 inch Weber Smokey Mountain. The performance, capacity, and convenience of the basket make it the best designed currently on the market. No offense meant to other makers. To convey just how much of a boost the half inch holes give to the weber's performance, I did a rib cook exactly one week ago. 8 pounds of unlit briquettes, cowboy brand, a single pound lit in a chimney, no water pan, and I had 240 to 270 degree temps for the cook that started at 11:30am. When the ribs came off at a quarter past 5pm, I opened all the vents wide open to test the cooker. At 10:30pm the coal was just fully used up, and the smoker was still at 230 degrees coming down. No chunks of unused coal were in the bottom of the smoker when done. Even after three years, the basket shows no signs of weakening, even though I have run as much as 34 pounds of briquettes in it before. If I ever get another WSM, an ArborFab basket is the first thing I would get to put in it.
